However, sometimes it might be hard or many mistakes can happen when an inactive person decides to start working out. 1. Always warm-up and stretch

Warm-ups are very important to prepare your body for the workout. It helps protect your muscles from injuries and allow them to become flexible and perform all the exercises. Stretching at the end of your workout is also important to avoid injuries, and decrease soreness as much as possible.

2. Start slowly

When you lead an inactive lifestyle, your body cannot handle intense efforts. Start with doing easy exercises and a low number of repetitions and increase with time until you are able to do as much reps as you can.

3. Rest

Resting is important for your body to recover and be full of energy once again. Start with working out 3 to 4 days per week maximum.

4. Drink lots of water

Keep yourself hydrated and drink lots of water to help your muscles regain the fluids lost by sweating.

5. Do not do it alone

Get the help of previously made workouts that you can find online or buy. Make sure that you follow the plan of a professional rather than create your own.

6. Wear the right shoes

Wearing the right shoes is very important to support your posture and help you avoid injuries and unnecessary body pains.

7. Ask someone

Make sure you have someone to ask about your workout plan and whether you are doing your exercises right or not. Avoid doing wrong moves by checking with someone constantly. You will find this helpful.

8. Track your progress

Keep a track of the weights you are using, your body weight, your size, the shape of certain body parts, and other things that could mean that you are making a progress in your workout. Once you start seeing differences, know that it is time to upgrade your workout and make your weights heavier. Also make sure that you modify your eating plan so you are supplying your body enough proteins to fuel it up.

9. Be consistent

Once you start working out, make sure that you do not give up quickly or surrender to the fatigue that you might face at the beginning. Being consistent means that there is a higher chance for you to commit to this active routine and become a healthier person, with a healthier body.

10. Expect soreness

Getting out of your inactive bubble means putting your muscles under pressure. This means that you will experience soreness at least at the beginning. Soreness is a good sign, it means that you are making progress. Expect it and embrace it.
