Here is how to stay motivated to stick with your home workouts
Thu 12 11 2020

Working out from home is a lifestyle that many have chosen in the past, and with the coming of the pandemic, it became a choice of a lot more people. While this is a great way to fight the laziness and the sedentary lifestyle that the lockdown could impose on us, we might find ourselves wanting to give up many times. However, knowing that home workouts are beneficial for you, you could be trying to find ways to keep you motivated. In this article, we will talk about some ways to help you stay motivated to stick with your home workouts.

1. Make being active a priority

Being quarantined could also mean working, taking care of kids, studying, cooking, and doing a bunch of stuff at the same time. This means your priorities can get mixed up and you start being carried away with some tasks and postponing your workouts for the next day or hour. Make sure that you consider your workout a priority just like your job. Give it enough time and put the effort into preparing for it.

2. Think of all the time and money you are saving

Whether you used to work out at the gym or with a trainer before the quarantine or not, you are saving a lot by taking the decision of working out from home. Other than the costs of going to the gym, and buying gym clothes, you are saving the cost of a gym membership or of a personal trainer. You are also saving a lot of time by staying at home rather than commuting to the gym.

3. Work out as much as you can

A lot of people put mazing goals for themselves when it comes to their fitness lives. They would put “Wake up at 6 am and do a 60 minutes HIIT” as a goal and try to achieve it. If one time they are a few minutes late on their schedule, or if they feel like giving up in the midst of the workout, they decide to give up on the whole goal. If you are this type of person, train yourself not to give up when you are slightly late or tired for the training. Stick to the workout even when you are late, and do not give up on the whole goal if you were forced to skip working out a few times.

4. Think of how your success will look like

What is your aim for working out? Being fit? Sexy? Having good health? Whatever your goal is say it to yourself every time you start training. Say: “I will be healthy and fight diseases better after this session” and you will always be motivated to finish what you’ve started.
